USO Welcomes Col Cameron Dadgar to our Local Advisory Council

The USO is pleased to welcome Col Cameron Dadgar to our Local Advisory Council. Col (ret) Cameron Dadgar has recently joined the Leonardo DRS Air Combat team as a Business Development Executive. He comes to us after retiring from over two and a half decades of service in the US Air Force. His final posting was as Commander, Nevada Test and Training Range, Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. There, he led the 1,400 personnel of the organization responsible for a 2.9 million acre range and 12,000 square miles of airspace, as well as the Virtual Test and Training Center that comprises the US Air Force’s most advanced live and synthetic battlegrounds (before its absorption by the US Space Force, the Space Test and Training Range was also under his command). Those live and virtual battlespaces supported advanced composite force training, tactics development and electronic combat testing for the U.S. Department of Defense. Previous to his final posting, Col (ret) Dadgar was the Commander, United States Air Forces in Europe – Air Forces Africa’s Warfare Center, The Warrior Preparation Center. There, he oversaw seven squadrons and a MAJCOM staff division responsible for preparing Joint, NATO, and Partner Nations’ warfighters to conduct innovative full-spectrum operations against a peer threat. Col. Dadgar was commissioned following graduation from Purdue University. He spent his early years as an Astronautical Engineer launching Titan II and Titan IV Space Launch Vehicles. Following tours through initial pilot training, he flew operationally in the F-16 Fighting Falcon during Operations Northern and Southern Watch, as well as Operation Iraqi Freedom. His time as a field-grade officer culminated in multiple command tours at Nellis Air Force Base overseeing Advanced Warfighter Training and Premier Joint Exercises including the Red and Green Flag exercises. Of note, he also served on the Secretary of Defense’s speechwriting team as well as serving the U.S. State Department in the U.S. Embassy-Turkey. He is a qualified command pilot with more than 2,500 hours in fighter, transport, and training aircraft and helicopters.
